Why should an interior designer hire a business coach?
Why do interior design businesses fail?
Is it because their principal designers suck at designing interiors?
Or, is it because they never learned any business skills in design school?
My money is on number two.
Interior designers learn next to nothing about running a business during their schooling, yet the vast, vast majority of interior design businesses are micro-sized or solo businesses run by a designer with no formal education is business. Not exactly a design for success.
